FORMER HS OPERATORS IN THAILAND
« on: February 17, 2010, 05:34:58 AM »
SAWADEE KHAP

I was in Thailand for 1 year and I was awarded the call sign HS2AKO. This was in year 1974 and 1975.
I saw the website http://www.qsl.net/rast/oldrast/pub/former.html and would like to know how I can get my call sign listed ?

Likely the old call sign was reassigned in the late 80s to a Thai ham. Almost all foriegners were assigned sequencial calls during the 1990s using the four letter/numbers HS0Z** and two letters from AA to ZZ which are still not exhausted at the time. For a few years, active hams from other countries were allowed temporary call signs using their home call and the prefix HS0/***** for example HS0/DL4VK Reiner who died before the new system allowed for Germans to get a HS0Z** call.

Hope this helps!
