K4M on Midway Island
« on: October 14, 2009, 12:18:00 PM »
I had the strongest signal from them (abt. S 7) at 10:50 to 11:00 Thailand time on 20m.
A 2nd opening just occur at 14:00 Thailand time with S8 in the peak.
GL in the huge pileup!

I am just using a YP-3 yagi, which is a portable (small) antenna.
Both openings where heard on short path at 65 degrees.
Using an ICOM IC-718 with preamp off!

Hi Paul,
was happy to work them on their 1. day, 30 min. after they started. But I can use only 20m at the present time, as I need 2 or 3 people to bring the antenna down for band change.
Sorry you didn't make it.
