Radio Shack hand held scanner?
« on: June 05, 2009, 05:24:19 AM »
Will a typical police scanner sold at Radio Shack work in Thailand? What I mean is a friend asked me to pick one up so she can use. Are they the same frquencies that are used in the USA and Thailand? Thanks

if the scanner can pick up signal during 136-174, it will be able to listen mostly police and government in thailand.

otherwise, little number government unit using UHF and 800 trunking (Motorola Smartnet/Smartzone Trunking is main trunk radio services in Thailand)
I love Thammasat because Thammasat teaches me to love people.
