Fibreglass??

Does anyone know whether fibreglass is any good for a boom in Thailand ?? (3 metres long and 1"x1" square)

I just wonder whats wrong with Aluminum for a Boom its cheap also.  ;)

Hi Kurt,
   true but unless you can find a way to isolate the elements from the boom then you are a bit stuck, I thought of alumnium also but then you have to be able to get hold of the plastic clips to fix the elements to the boom. ......

Well aluminium for the boom is fine for a big ant. but I were thinking about the Spiderbeams or Hexbeams which are quite sensitive of all kind of metal around expect the wires of the elements itself ...

Put a PVC pipe on the place where you want it separated from the boom
