Dear Helmut,

well I do not know if somebody can help you with that but I guess nobody imported such a great ant. yet (I know here in HS only OB 16-3) - and paid tax for that! Maybe you should contact the customs TAX office and ask them how to handle such a case .... or somebody as a proxie can ask for you ... I would declare it as Al tube that it ...

Well or even the wellknown forwarder should give you some further informations.

Rotator:
KWANG HAM  (http://www.kwangham.com) - 9 Shops in BKK

They have the Yaesu G-2800 DXC in stock - price ~59,000 Baht which is the biggest rotator I have seen here and I guess you can get here ... well they can order also other onces but that takes ~ 2 month ...

HS1JNB:
Thank you for your reply. I found an english webpage from Thai custom. I sent a request how much I have
to pay for tax. Found that Aluminium tubes are 17% tax, but there are many other taxes to include.
VAT and so on. Lets see what they will answer.
So far thank you for your help.

Dear Helmut,

of course I remember you ... we were talking about well of course Rotating Tower and Ant. import ...

About the link (http://rastforum.com/index.php?topic=136.0) I corrected it ... it's working now ... When do you plan to order the OB18-6?

Did you already contacted some of the wellknown forwarder they should also be possible to answer your question on the import TAX ...

Well maybe you could reduce the TAX if you declare it as Millimeter Al Tubes which are not available here - just standard material but mm spec's ... - HI!   ;D

Hi Swen,
I got an email from HS0ZIE explaining that there is a manufaturer here in Thailand who can built that antenna for me. As soon as I go to BKK I try to contact him. Will see if he really can make me a 18-6. Also have to contact a towermanufacurer after that.
Problem is, first my house must be finished, lol. As soon I have further information, i will contact you.
If you really want to see the antenna, I must finish a room for you to stay overnight. I am 2 car driving hours away from Udon Thani.
Maybe I must go back to DL in April, bc of visa problems. But I hope I can start beginning of next year with my radio station. Depends how soon they finish my house and my shack.
Thank you for the corrected link. Very useful information there.

I ever order motorola mobile antenna myself. Tax will be 10% calculated from equipment cost + shipping (exchange rate used the custom announced) then plus 7% on top for VAT.

better have import permit document if your equipment is huge for strange size, document can be obtains from NTC only 300THB with unlimited list you can put in on (valid one time permitted).

Hi Tempark,
thank you very much for your reply. I will visit NTC for that list. So far I got no answer on my email to customs in Thailand, so maybe NTC can help. Otherwise I must visit customs too to be sure how much I have to pay.
Good luck and gd DX
