Title: RAST - NO September Meeting - Sep 2017
Post by: HS0ZFZ on August 22, 2017, 10:48:03 PM

Dear member or friend of RAST, This is to notify you that there will be no RAST meeting in the month of September, 2017 because Thailand's regulator, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), is conducting a three-day symposium from September 1 - September 3 to which all amateur radio societies throughout the country have been invited to attend. In addition, several committee members of RAST and representatives of the society will be in Tokyo, Japan on the first Sunday of next month in order to participate in the JARL Tokyo Ham Fair, the region's largest amateur radio exhibition and conference which takes place on September 2-3, 2017, and where RAST will have a booth in the exhibition. The NBTC Secretariat has invited the RAST President and committee members of the society to attend its symposium when it will outline its new policy and regulations governing amateur radio in Thailand. We hope to post relevant information on this website and on the RAST Thai-language website following the event. RAST regrets to announce that there will be no September meeting and encourages all members who are free to attend the October meeting which will be held as usual from 11.30 a.m. onwards at Sena Place Hotel and when RAST President Jakkree (Jack), HS1FVL will bring everyone up-to-date on all developments, including any policy revisions by the NBTC as well as with a report about the Tokyo Ham Fair.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may present.  Sincerely,    Tony Waltham, HS0ZDX     RAST Liaison Officer
